GALVANIZED COATING Rust is the biggest enemy a cooling unit has. Whether formed from exposure to the elements or from the normal operation of the cooling unit, it is the single most common cause of cooling unit failure. With this in mind, we have been working with a leading metal coating company and are now equipping our cooling units with a galvanized evaporator assembly to combat the corrosion that forms both as a function of the refrigerator's operation as well as the environment. This is a cold galvanize coating that is sprayed onto the surface of the cooling unit prior to being painted. However, this is not an off the shelf coating that you can purchase over the counter at your local hardware store. This is a special industrial coating only available to companies such as ours, and can only be applied by special equipment under certain environmental conditions. This is now standard equipment on all cooling units shipped after 11-01-2006. Cooling units shipped before this date are not equipped with this unless they were specifically ordered with this option.
